Malon works at Lon Lon Ranch with her father Talon and their farmhand Ingo. It's likely that she owns it with Talon, as the name of the ranch is Lon Lon (as in TaLON and MaLON), but that's pure speculation on my part.

Although not much of Malon is explicit, it can be deduced that it is Malon who trains the horses on the ranch. She communicates with the horses like few can (her song tames horses and cows alike), she is capable of racing, and she remains behind when her father is exiled to Kakariko Village.
